We all know the purpose of any commercial is to get money out of the pockets of its viewers. This leads to some analysis of a Physicians Mutual Dental Insurance commercial we saw on the Weather Channel.
The picture you see below is of a dentist office receptionist, with perfect teeth and likely an actress getting started in her career, scheduling a patient for her next check up. In the background, you can see what appears to be a dentist consulting with his patient.
The picture you see below shows a blurred image of the same receptionist with pearly whites entering patient information into computer. In the foreground, with an apple logo, is a Physicians mutual post card providing information about insurance rates, etc. I suppose the blurring is necessary to enhance the readability of the card, or perhaps to minimize the stalker effect.
