In this chess game played at the internet chess club, Photon who has never really understood that chess is much more than just pawn grabbing, has gone on a pawn hunting mission on White’s queenside. All of White’s forces are fully poised to checkmate the Black King while Photon continues to ingest pawns. Black’s queenside is fatally undeveloped with his Queens bishop and Queens rook stuck on their original squares. Photon was put out of his misery with a forced checkmate two moves after the position you see in the chess diagram.
Jeremy Silman, who seems to have dropped out of the chess scene, would have a field day with material versus development in this particular position. Actually, Black’s greed is so egregious that IM Silman would likely not select it as an instructive position.
