Exercise Caution before replying to online Home Mortgage solicitations

This email from Makai Rodabaugh, who address is listed at 708 Alfred Drive, Brooklyn, NYC, 11226, is very likely a phishing scam. It advertises refinance home mortgage rates of 2.375% which is not happening these days even for buyers with the highest possible credit scores.

Also when I Googled “Makai Rodabaugh” , there were NO hits or matches in the world’s most powerful and inclusive search engine! This, of course, leads one to draw the conclusion that Mr or Mrs Rodabaugh is a fictitious character created for the purpose of perpetrating a scam.

The sender of this fraudulent email is hoping recipients will be foolish enough to provide Date of Birth, Mother’s maiden name, current address, social security number, current employer, and other vital information that can be sold to identity thieves which will, in turn, ruin the credit score of the unsuspecting victim.

  1. I am trying to catch up with an old buddy Steve D Young who used to live at 806 N Gurley Ave lot 43 Gillette Wyoming 82716. I think he may have been scammed by some sort of mortgage fraud like what you are talking about.

  2. Mftalbot of daily kos writes bluntly and intelligently when he pens “When people with 50,000 dollar incomes are buying 500,000 houses, they’re being irresponsible idiots. “
