I was moved in a negative way by a financial philosophy piece written by Nancy L. Anderson. She wrote about a materialistic Guatemalan friend of hers named Yolanda who moved to the United States and pressured her American born husband to buy an expensive home well beyond his budgetary limits along with Ethan Allen furniture and a landscaped backyard!
Yolanda’s Quixotic view of the American dream rapidly became a nightmare and their marriage barely avoided disintegration. Her husband stayed with her, but not without him inducing a brain reset on his greedy spouse. The husband, who was initially pussy whipped by his sexy and irresistable Central American bride, understood that the love of his life was laboring under the assumptions of unrealistic expectations.
Watch out guys when you are dating for signs of gold digging!
