We spend quite a bit of time in Hobbs,NM, Roswell and Odessa,TX and have some observations we would like to share about our Sprint 3G/4G service. First, Odessa is blazing fast and we love our Sprint service there. Second, Hobbs is OK with some connectivity issues, but overall more than acceptable. Third, Anybody who pays for unlimited data in Roswell, NM is getting ripped off big time! Our Android heats up when we are in Roswell because it is working so hard to latch on to weak signals. The texting is even slow there sometimes.
I did a little research and found this at an online forum about network quality. Before I reveal my findings, I want you to know Sprint works just fine in any relatively large city, but they have been lying to their customers about improving their networks in more sparsely populated regions. I was on phone with agent recently who emphatically declared that the sprint network was operating at 42% efficiency(whatever the hell that means) in Carlsbad, Artesia, and Roswell. Like that was supposed to make me believe they were working to improve the network.
Anyways, here goes with what I uncovered at online forum/survey regarding the poor quality service Sprint delivers to small town USA:
The user gave Sprint a rating of 8 out of 10 for Sprint making you feel like a valued customer. I would give them a 9 or 10 on this one since they just gave me great leasing deal on an IPhone 6 PLUS and Sprint is a good provider for probably 90% of the United States and maybe the world.
However, when Sprint asked how their service could be improved, the customer came up with a masterpiece that I completely agree with. Talking about kindred spirits. Listen to this: The 3G in Roswell is non-existent. Our bill should be lowered accordingly. Phone functions well in large cities. The dysfunction in Artesia, Roswell, and Carlsbad have been ongoing for around 5 years!
