Sprint Forcing Customers to remain in Contract despite awful Service


I just got off the phone with a Sprint representative  who stated we have to uphold the terms of our contract with this lousy provider of non-functioning cell phone networks. The 3G has been non-existent. Our HTC EVO smart phone frequently does not ring when somebody is calling. Calls are dropped and text messages are often 1 to 2 hours late. This is all happening in Roswell,NM , but the same type of cell phone issues are occurring in Ruidoso, Artesia, Carlsbad, Hobbs, Alamogordo, El Paso, Socorro, Dexter, Hagerman, Lovington and many other towns in southeastern New Mexico.

I have heard, and will further research, that all it takes is 100 notarized signatures to initiate a class-action lawsuit against Sprint. Think about it people! What Sprint is effectively doing is stealing money from you by forcing you to remain in a 2 year contract even though they are not delivering the service.

Sprint knows that most people will not go to the trouble to take legal action, so even though they are not providing you the cell phone service you contracted with them, they still have the audacity to try to bind you to a contract. That should be ILLEGAL and it is certainly unethical to bind a person to a contract when the service is NOT being rendered!

You do not have to identify yourself to comment on this post, so please let me know if you would consider being party to a class-action lawsuit against Sprint for the money they are stealing from you by not providing service AND not allowing Sprint customers to terminate the contract free of any fees or penalties.

The only way to win a against a bully like Sprint is to unite, otherwise they will continue to rip you off by not allowing you to break your contract.

  1. I know this does not seem related, but when I was in Houston,TX around 4 years ago there was this woman named Shaneco Fennoy who got drug through a mile of crap for doing what had to be done. She had an abusive boyfriend. Shaneco Fennoy got fed up with it and shot the punk! He had it coming, but to this day I believe Shaneco Fennoy is still taking the heat for defending herself from being a victim of domestic violence.

    Women like Shaneco Fennoy are a beacon of shining light in the darkness of wife-beating and spousal abuse!!

    1. I think the jury in the trial of Shaneco Fennoy ruled in her favor which is a good thing since otherwise women would be even less protected than they currently are. So many of us just live through domestic abuse without reporting it because of rip off lawyers and ineffective law enforcement.

  2. A couple of readers wanted to know if cancelling your Sprint contract can adversely impact or lower your credit score. If Sprint does not allow you to get out of your contract early and you refuse to pay because of the crappy service, then Sprint could report this to Transunion, Equifax, Experian. The result would be your credit score might be hurt. If you cancel your Sprint service with their permission, then, of course, your credit score will not take a hit.

  4. We are finally getting improved 3G in Roswell,NM after 3 years of piss poor service. We have received around 500 dollars in courtesy credit for 3G not working and GPS not functioning. You have to call and threaten cancellation before Sprint will issue credit.

  5. Rick Washichek writes to Sprint that their service in Roswell NM has been bad for the last year! Don’t act like you don’t know about this.(they most certainly do despite what their BS maps say) I filed a formal complaint last November or December. You made all these promises that never happened. You are NOT providing us the service we are paying for.

    Miguel Flores,Suanne Mestas, and Gabriel Ortega are among a long list of irate, livid, and incensed Sprint customers.
