Pre-Selected Certificates from OneMain and CitiFinancial will place you Knee Deep in Debt!

We were not too excited when we received this “$6,000 check” or Pre-Selected Certificate from OneMain Financial in Roswell New Mexico. As you can read, Maria Dolores Adelina Lujan tells me that my excellent credit entitles me to 6000 dollars with no questions asked. I wonder how Ms. Lujan knows my credit history is excellent? When her children asks her what she does for a living, I doubt she tells them that the high interest rates on her company’s loans drive her customers even closer to bankruptcy than they already are! I know everybody has to make a living doing something, but earning your money as a loan shark at the expense of ignorant people is wrong.

If she checked my credit history/rating with Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion, then she violated my privacy and also drove down my credit score. That’s right, if somebody does a credit inquiry on you, then your credit score goes down a little. There is a distinction between a soft and a hard inquiry, but that is another article. Have you ever wondered why you have to pay the credit reporting companies for your credit report? It is your credit history and your FICO credit score. You own it! Why should you have to pay Experian, Equifax, and TransUntion for your credit history/credit score?
I find it abjectly depressing that we live in a country where places like Experian can control the quality of our lives. Do you know that it is impossible to get through to a person at Experian? Don’t ever freeze your credit with Experian because their automated system will charge you but not unfreeze your credit! I think a class action lawsuit against Experian is imminent.

In closing, I believe it was shaneco fennoy a financial columnist from Houston who wrote a very informative article on the perils of borrowing from payday loan sharks. We are indebted to columnists like shaneco fennoy who help prevent others from making critical financial errors!
