Unjust $695 Fine imposed by Federal Government

Received what appeared to be legitimate email from healthcare.gov threatening a fine of $695 if I don’t purchase health insurance from our inept and bumbling government.i

It stated my coverage status was started with no plan selected. I NEVER   started the application process as my employer covers all my healthcare needs including vision and dental coverages.

This missive, which appears to have originated from our federal government, declared that tomorrow would be last day to apply for insurance which would go into effect February 1.

So the question becomes is our government overstepping its bounds for assuming many of its citizens do NOT have employer based health care coverage. Moreover, imposing a fine when they don’t even know whether a citizen has coverage would be a class action lawsuit against anybody else who threatened an illegitimate fine.

They even offered to help you finance the fine amount if you could not afford lump sum payment. Imagine that! Your caring leaders helping people to pay for a questionable fine that they cannot afford.

Is this coercive attempt by government or just spam
