A inexpensive way to make your bathroom appear and feel larger.

Acting on advice from  home improvement expert Bob Vila, we replaced our traditional vanity cabinet with a console that definitely made our cute but small bathroom look larger.

We bought a  Single Sink from Pottery Barn with stainless steel legs and a painted white finish. After shipping costs were tacked on, the total cost was around $275. We thought about a complete bathroom remodeling, but that is on standby right now thanks to Bob.

Sorry about the picture not showing the difference this addition made to to our bathroom’s appearance, but it was a mess due to some other work that we are doing on bath tub and shower.

Ripping out our previous sink cabinet was labor intensive and making the wall behind the single sink console look presentable was a real pain, but we are still glad we did it!

  1. Did you all see the mangrove root piece of driftwood from a trip to the beach and brushed with a dark stain that functions as both a unique art piece and a handy towel rack? Hung on the wall next to the shower, the piece is a cheap decluttering element of a small bathroom.
