I need some help from Jerry Yaros. Perhaps a question would be a good start. Are you a gay hater? If hate is too strong a word, please let this writer know because you apparently support the letter written by Patricia Jannuzzi  claiming that homosexuals are trying to redesign western civilization.

Do you realize that a significant percentage of the population is born gay? I can guarantee you that somebody close to you is gay and rather than tolerate that, you likely try to correct the “sin in their ways” and ask for their forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is you sir that needs to brush up on your theology as Jesus spread the message of inclusion. Subtle hate for gays, lesbians, and transgenders  fills your writing Jerry. If you have latent homosexual tendencies, now is the time to come out and renounce your contempt and disdain for gay people. There is still time for you. I will pray for you and other close minded individuals like you who distort the words of the scripture!

What has happened to freedom of speech and our First Amendment rights?

According to a recent article the Pastor Sean Brennan and principal Jean Kline of Immaculata High School sent a letter to the school community about a Facebook page posted by a long-term teacher Patricia Jannuzzi.

Patricia’s comment was “gays or gay activists want to reengineer wester civ. into a slow extinction as part of their agenda. We need healthy families with a mother and a father for the sake of the children and humanity”!!!

The letter by Brennan and Kline mentioned the philosophy of the school is one of inclusion rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Sean Brennan and principal Jean Kline have no concept of what is rooted in the teaching of Jesus Christ(No Jerry, is you who is clueless on the true message of the son of God) if they take action against this teacher. A teacher who has the courage to challenge those, who by the complacency of the church, have caused the moral decline(by moral decline, do you mean men who love men or women that love women?) of our Catholic foundation.

Pope Francis in his Humanum Conference on Nov. 17, 2014 said “Children have a right to grow up in a family with a father and mother capable of creating a suitable environment for the child’s development and emotional maturity.”

What is so inappropriate in Patricia Jannuzzi’s comment that warrants the spineless individuals who are going along with the blog mob to crucify Patricia for her truthful and factual remarks?

What a difference several decades of silence makes about this issue in an institution that has been around for over 20 centuries. Someone who had the foresight to see the changes that were happening in the church wrote the following: “It would only take a generation for a church to show signs of decay; Perhaps a poor pastoral choice; A failure to preach God’s Word Faithfully; A transition in the church’s understanding of it’s mission.” All or any of the above can contribute to this controversy.

If anyone is to be fired or reprimanded(It is you who should experience punitive action for your insular views on human sexuality), it is the principal Jean Kline, and Pastor Sean Brennan should be reassigned as a parochial vicar in a small rural parish where he can have the time to brush up on his theology.

Let me end with a quote by Ronald Reagan: “Freedom is only a generation away.”(But your ignorance is here to stay!)
