A wealthy banker apparently was unhappy with the service he was getting when he left a 1% tip of $1.33 for a bill of $133.87. Right above the tip amount, the arrogant banker advised the waitress to “Get a Real Job”.
This sounds kind of personal. I know I get upset if the wait staff does not refill my drinks in a timely fashion and do not give much of a tip, but to insult the waiter with such a comment exceeds the bounds of decency. Maybe the waitress was an ex lover and the rich banker was trying to hurt her further.
The income inequality that exists between a waiter and a high-end financier is quite pronounced, but is certainly no reason to act superior or arrogant. Just remember that a lousy tip is for lousy service.
