The latest numbers reveal that around 50 million Americans do not have health insurance. How to solve this problem? The Obama administration has a plan to create state based markets called exchanges where individuals and small businesses can purchase affordable health care. Read carefully and you will discover that accountable people who save and prepare for the future will be paying for the Health Insurance of the people who are unaccountable and buy tampons and cigarettes with Food Stamps. The following snippet from the USA Today article expounds further:
Starting Jan. 1, 2014, new health-insurance markets called “exchanges” must be up and running in every state, the linchpin (Yes, that is a picture of a linchpin) of a grand plan to make health insurance accessible and affordable to those who now struggle to find and keep coverage.
Individual consumers and small businesses will be able to shop online for competitively priced coverage, and many will receive government subsidies to help pay premiums.
“More competition will drive down costs, and exchanges will give individuals and small businesses the same purchasing power big businesses have today,” Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a statement.
People receiving government subsidies to help pay premiums sort of sounds like the food stamp program……Am I wrong? So will taxpayers now be paying not only for the food of unaccountable people, but also for their health care?
Income inequality is a problem in most countries, but why should those who are provident and accountable be responsible for the well-being of those who are NOT?
