Typos and misspells are like cock roaches

MSNBC is one of my favorite sites. Great content and writers who thoroughly research what they are writing about. Also, rarely if ever, will you read an article with a typo , misspell, or grammatically flawed sentence.

Read the following snippet from a MSNBC article on the cost and health issues associated with the aging USA prison populations:

The rising cost of care State and federal prisons spend an estimated $16 billion taxpayer dollars a year keeping elderly convicts in the clink, Fathi said. Nearly a quarter of that price tag – roughly $3 billion taxpayer dollars annually – is devoted to providing health care to sick or drying prisoners.

Now if the prison system were drying its inmates, the ACLU would be on it like stink on excrement. So the author most certainly intended dying prisoners. The article was only 17 hours old when I read it so the misspell may be corrected by now. So much content is churned out in a deadline based environment, that the occasional typo or misspell is understandable.
