In this age of selfies and entitlement culture, nobody should be too surprised at the photograph you see below of female Kentucky basketball fan waving number one. Normally this would be no big deal, but the immature air head blond was deflecting attention away from a young boy who was on the TV screen as a cancer survivor while the commentators were describing his brave battle with a world wide killer.
It was the round 2 game of March Madness between Kentucky and Cincinnati when a terminally ill young man wearing a wig was given the recognition he deserves for coping with such tragedy at such a tender age. I am betting that the attention seeking Kentucky Wildcat coed was hoping to promote herself perhaps seeking an appearance on a talk show or the opportunity to make money doing some type of “pretty face” commercial.
I hope she reads this and graces our readers with a comment on why her need for attention happened to be more important than the compassion the sick young man deserves. Perhaps she was so self-absorbed she did not notice him, or worse she did and did not care.
