Recently we traveled from Albuquerque,NM through Roswell on our way to Midland,TX. We always stop somewhere in Roswell for a potty break. Today we stopped at Walgreen’s on North Main street(US285) as we had called ahead to pick up a prescription for my daughter.
The wife was bursting at the seams needing to poop and safely landed in the women’s bathroom before making a mess in her pants. I wasn’t so lucky as I encountered a locked male bathroom requiring either a code or a key. This is not what I wanted to see and I did shit in my pants not being able to wait!
I understand why businesses lock their bathroom doors. A public loo can become very messy and locks also prevent the occasional random sex acts that take place in restrooms. However, valued patrons of the establishment are inconvenienced by having to know a code or chase down a store employee to relieve their bladders or take a crap.
The burden should be on the establishment rather than its customers to police its toilets. I know we will never stop at that Walgreen’s again because they pass off their inconvenience to their customer’s hassle.
How would you like to see this when you were aching to do a number 2?
